Marijuana?

The state of California is going to pass a bill that will legalize the use of marijuana, because if they do this they can get more money on taxes and such. I think it's dumb that they are doing this but it's not that big of a deal either because a lot of people use it already and it doesn't kill you.

Obama in Afganistan

A few days ago President Obama went to the middle east and talked to the President of Afganistan about issues in Afganistan, after he was done he went to a Marine base and when the marines came back one man was really offended when he saw Obama because he thought it was someone trying to fool them and after he found out it was actually Obama he felt really bad for yelling and swearing at him. I think it's kind of funny and i feel bad for that guy because he probably feels really stupid now.

Ashes or not?

At a Riverdale Maryland crematorium 40 bodies were found stacked in a garage by the crematorium. They decided to give the grieving families wood ash instead of their own loved family members ashes to save money. The bodies would be transportated to the crematorium owners family land and dumped into a landfill. This story is super creepy, I couldn't imagine loosing a family member and then later finding out that what i thought had been their ashes really weren't. I would be so upset.

Obesity rehab for kids work?

With adolescent obesity on the rise, many parents have taken steps to prevent or reverse the health concerns of their children. Whether by seeking dietary guidance by a health professional or entering them into health programs such as Wellspring Academy in southern California. Owner Ryan Craig, opened the academy in 2004, it was the only residential obesity-treatment center of its kind. Craig was shocked by the staggering rates of obesity in the US and found it as an opportunity to make a change in the health of the nation. Along with typical academic courses, the academy provides therapy and physical involvement courses, guiding students into a healthier, happier lifestyle. The school's weight-loss program was designed by Northwestern University Medical Center professor Daniel Kirschenbaum.

help for Haiti?

Dollars, aid and volunteers all being sent to Haiti. America has their country's need for help in mind, but could that help be hurting them?
Haiti is affraid to lose their independence. With millions of dollars being sent to this impoverished country the help is somewhat overwhelming. Haiti's history is a formation of slaves that revolted against their masters during the 19th century. The spirit of independece is still fresh in the blood of Haitian people and the fear of losing that independence sends tension between societies. Haiti is becoming somewhat reliant on other countries to serve as a crutch to their economic system. If we don't let this nation walk on its own two feet it maybe possible that they will never develop into a stable nation. It is a vicious cycle for poor country struck by a natural disaster. There needs to be balance between help and letting Haiti take pride in their independence.

lawsuit for smoking

In Albuquerque, N.M. Linda Garcia's neighbors said her smoking in her backyard is a public nuisance, and have filed a lawsuit against her. How can this be such a big problem? On Monday morning, a judge denied Lane's motion to dismiss the case. The case is going to trial next week and Lane said he has a solid case. Attorney Charles Lakins is representing Garcia's neighbor. He said that he agrees that someone has the right to smoke in their own backyard, but Garcia's choices should not hinder his clients from enjoying their property as well.
I think that this is so stupid because you are in the comfort of your own home and it shouldn't matter what you do there. If you don't like it then kindly ask her to stop don't just sue someone for that. Simply ask can you please do this when I'm not around.
